Finally the João Cansalo problem is solved. The Portuguese star is going to leave Manchester City to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. Al-Hilal will have to multiply 38 million dollars to take him to the team. He will earn $17 million per year at the Saudi Pro League club.
However, Kansalo has not played a single match for Man City in the last two years. Guardiola’s disillusionment came after 18 months spent on loan at Bayern Munich and Barcelona. However, Guardiola has recently been interested in bringing Cansalo back. But in the end, the Man City authorities decided to sell him because of good profit.
His deal is expected to be formalized in a day or two. In that case, his debut could be in Al-Hilal’s jersey on Wednesday against Damak in the Saudi Pro League at home. If that is not possible then he can play in the match against Al-Riyadh on September 14.
The 30-year-old defender joined Man City from Juventus in 2019. He then played 154 matches for the Sky Blues. Scored 9 goals. He also won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a Carabao Cup during that time.
