Football is known for bringing people together – including people you wouldn’t expect to see connected. Take for example the case where one of the world’s most famous rappers and creators connects with a group of Italian soccer fans. Tonight (Tuesday), in the round of 16 match of the Champions League between Inter and Atletico Madrid – the Nerazzurri had a surprise guest. None other than Kanye West.
It all started when the rapper decided to use two songs that appeared on his last album – “Vultures 1” – in cheering segments of Inter fans. As a result, a collaboration was created between West and Inter fans from the “Curve Nord” (the cheering stand of the local “Ultras”). After the move, which attracted quite a bit of attention (as usual with Kanye), the rapper announced that he would come to the game – and kept his promise, when he sat down in one of the stands next to the grass at the San Siro stadium in Milan.
Kanye came to the game wearing a mask – the reason for the move? Opinions are still divided. Some argue, including the purchase itself, that it came out of a desire to remain modest – and not attract too much attention. Others claim that it is simply his desire to stand out – to show that even when he puts on a mask, everyone knows who he is. In any case, as always, he aroused a lot of interest around him – even in the less comfortable environment, inside a football stadium full of fans.
