We are just a few days away from Kanye West announcing Gosha Rubchinskiy as head of design at Yeezy, and now he has presented new footwear.
West went to X last night to share that the vainas yzy They are now available for preorder for $200. This is also West’s first new shoe release after his partnership with Adidas ended in October 2022 due to a series of anti-Semitic comments he made in interviews and on social media.
The Yzy Pods feature a one-piece design that reaches the calf. The first colorway comes in a black hue and the shoe is available in three size options. It’s worth noting that while the Yzy Pods are currently selling via pre-order, there’s no mention of when the sneakers will ship.
Even though Adidas ended its partnership with West last year, the Three Stripes began releasing leftover inventory of Yeezy sneakers in May, before transporting it again in late October. Sales from the Yeezy re-release generated $437 million in revenue, with portions of the proceeds donated to organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, and the Robert Kraft Foundation to Combat Anti-Semitism.
UPDATE (12/28/23): After becoming available for pre-order earlier this month, West’s Yzy Pods sneaker officially launched today exclusively at Yeezy.com for $200. The sneaker was released along with merchandise to coincide with West and Ty Dolla’s joint album Sign, Vultures.
UPDATE (02/12/24): After selling for $200 during its initial release in December, West has confirmed that the Calcetin Yzy Pod The sneaker will receive a price reduction to just $20. On Instagram, the @ Back page He also stated that anyone who paid $200 for the sneaker can email [email protected] for a $180 refund.
