jpnn.com – The 2024 Kapolri Cup volleyball tournament, zone four preliminary round, was officially opened at the Pajajaran Sports Hall, Bandung City, Wednesday (21/8/2024).
Zone four is filled by teams from the West Java, Central Java, East Java, and DI Yogyakarta Regional Police.
The opening match brought together the West Java Regional Police women’s volleyball team against the DIY Regional Police women’s team. The second match was between the Central Java Regional Police men’s volleyball team and the East Java Regional Police women’s team, and the last match was between the West Java Regional Police men’s volleyball team and the DIY Regional Police women’s team.
The 2024 Kapolri Cup volleyball tournament was opened directly by the Assistant for Human Resources of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo, who represented the Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The preliminary round for zone four at Gor Pajajaran will be held from 21 to 24 August 2024.
Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Jules Abraham Abast, said that this activity aims to recruit high-achieving volleyball athletes from various clubs in each region.
“This activity aims to find potential athletes who are expected to excel in this tournament. We also hope that the competing athletes will foster solidarity and experience competing in national and international events,” said Jules at Gor Pajajaran, Jalan Pajajaran, Bandung City, Wednesday (21/8/2024).
The West Java team itself is strengthened by experienced players in Proliga. There are two setters of the Indonesian women’s volleyball national team who joined, namely Tisya Amallya Putri and Tiara Sanger.
