Kapoutzidis burst into tears: “Love comes from the heart and the heart has no genitals”

by time news

The actor Giorgos Kapoutzidis described his feelings after the passing of the bill on the marriage of same-sex couples in his statements to the Star and he burst into tears when he mentioned his parents.

“When Mary Argyriadou sent me a message to talk, I couldn’t read the phone because I was crying. Yesterday I didn’t show my emotion at all, I was cold, reserved and today I’ve been crying since morning. Now I’m laughing that we’re talking, after we close, I’ll be in the same situation as before,” Kapoutzidis said.

He then revealed, with a trembling voice, that before entering the Parliament, he called his parents to inform them that he will not have his mobile phone with him, but when he heard his mother’s voice, he said something else: “I told them thank you for making me the person I became and for raising me the way you raised me and thank you for the strength you gave me. Why don’t you understand how much strength a child gets when they feel their parents are proud of them, not proud because they won a competition. Proud of his heart, his success and his failure,’ she said, bursting into tears.

“I dream of a world where no child will have to have this uncomfortable conversation and no parent will be ashamed of what their child is. Just let him be a good person. You can’t imagine how much strength parents give when they love and accept their children. Love comes from the heart and has no genitals. The heart has no gender. This is what I wanted to say. Sorry, but I love them so much for the strength they gave me,” he added.
