Kara met with their fans by holding their solo concert ‘KARASIA’ in Tokyo, Japan on the 17th and 18th. ‘KARASIA’ is a brand concert that Kara has continued, and it was held in Japan for the first time in about 9 years since 2015.
On this day, KARA opened the concert with the Japanese version of the title song “WHEN I MOVE” from their 15th anniversary special album “MOVE AGAIN.” KARA then gradually heightened the concert atmosphere with the sing-along performances of “Lupin,” “Pandora,” and “Queens.”
A parade of Kara’s hit songs was also performed. Kara showed off their refreshing and lively charm through songs like “Honey,” “Pretty Girl,” and “JET COASTER LOVE,” while giving local fans memories through Japanese songs like “Summergic,” “Sunshine Miracle,” and “GO GO Summer!”
The solo stages of each member also added to the richness of the show. Heo Young-ji sang her domestic solo debut song “LOVE” and Kang Ji-young passionately sang her Japanese single “好きな人がいること” (That There’s Someone I Like). Park Gyuri and Han Seung-yeon performed “Daydream” and “Guilty” from their special album “KARA Solo Collection” respectively, and Nicole also received enthusiastic responses with her solo song “5! 6! 7! 8!”
Kara, who also embraced the emotional atmosphere with ‘HANABI’ and ‘Last Summer’, also performed the title song ‘I Do I Do’ and the track ‘HELLO’ from their single released last month. The full ‘HELLO’ stage featuring the late Goo Hara’s voice was revealed to fans for the first time, and six microphones appeared on stage to convey deep emotions and lingering feelings.
Lastly, Kara once again raised the heat of the scene with “Mamma Mia,” “Mister,” and “Happy Hour,” before finishing the show with a splendid ending with the encore songs “SOS,” “Rock U,” and “STEP.”
In this way, Kara showed off their power as a ‘2nd generation legend’ with a setlist that encompasses the entire 17 years of their debut. The fans who filled the concert hall also responded to Kara’s passionate performance with enthusiastic cheers and applause.
Meanwhile, Kara will continue their ‘Hallyu Queen’ streak by holding ‘Karacia’ in Osaka, Japan on the 24th and 25th.
