Karachi: Four people were killed in a terrorist attack on the police chief’s office in Karachi, Pakistan. Three assailants were killed. Seven deaths were reported in the Karachi attack, AFP news agency reported, citing official sources. The attack took place on the police chief’s office near the police station in Karachi. Around 10 armed men attacked the office. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sindh government spokesman Murtaz Wahab Siddiqui told AFP that two of the four people killed were police officers. The police chief’s office was attacked around 7 pm on Friday. The attack continued late into the night. The assailants disguised themselves as policemen and started firing at the office.

The terrorist attack took place in an area where around 100 police officers live with their families. Several terrorist attacks are taking place in the country after the Pakistani Taliban withdrew the ceasefire. Recently, 80 people were killed in a bomb blast in a mosque.
