Karaikal Ammaiyar’s Thiruviratta Manimalai Parayanam started on Saturday.
At Srimad Ramalinga Swami Monastery in Karaikal, Ayira Vaisiya Manjapattur Sangha Makalir group is conducting a procession. With the participation of this group, on Saturday, Swathi Nakshatra, the avatar Nakshatra of Karaikal Ammaiyar, the Thiruviratta Manimalai Parayana composed by Ammaiyar was held in the monastery.
Special prayers were performed with the idol of Ammaiyar. The event was graced by Ayira Vaisiya Manjapattur Sangha leader R.A.R. Kesavan started it. Ramanathan and other participants participated in the protest committee.
