Popular Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has been selected as the National Ambassador of UNICEF India. This information was given in a press release published on the UNICEF website on Saturday (May 4).

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been associated with UNICEF India since 2014. Earlier, he worked as a celebrity advocate for UNICEF India. Kareena is excited to get the new responsibility.

Kareena Kapoor Khan said, ‘There are some important issues like the rights of children, the future generation of the world; I am honored to be roped in as the National Ambassador of UNICEF India. I will try to use my voice and influence for the rights of underprivileged children, especially early childhood, education, gender equality. Our goal is to ensure that every child has a beautiful childhood and a secure future.’

Apart from Kareena Kapoor, UNICEF India also recruited the first youth advocates. Those who will work on issues like climate, work, mental health, innovation. Gaurangshi Sharma from Madhya Pradesh, Karthik Verma from Uttar Pradesh, musician Nahid Afrin from Assam and Vinisha Umashankar from Tamil Nadu have been appointed as youth advocates by the organization.

Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer latest movie ‘Crew’. Directed by Rajesh Krishna, this movie was released on March 29. The movie also stars Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma etc. It received great response at the box office upon its release.
