Karipur: The move to reduce the runway length was welcomed by Khalil Thangal

Malappuram | Syed Ibrahimul Khalilul Bukhari, State General Secretary of Kerala Muslim Jamaat and Chairman of Madinah Academy, welcomed the move to reduce the runway length at Karipur Airport. He lauded the Union Minister of Civil Aviation for taking steps to allay such concerns and the Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Government, MPs, other MPs and organizations for their efforts.

The Kerala Muslim Jamaat had also intervened against this. Apart from expatriate travelers, Karipur Airport is also a popular destination for thousands of pilgrims. He demanded that Karipur be exempted from Hajj embarkation centers and that immediate action be taken to resume service of large aircraft immediately.
