Bengaluru: Action OTT platform CEO Vijesh Pillai has been absconded by Bengaluru KR Puram police on a complaint filed by Swapna Suresh alleging that there was a threat to his life, the Karnataka police said. Vijesh’s phone is switched off. Notice sent on WhatsApp to appear. The DCP stated that Vijesh has not yet responded and will seek the help of the Kerala Police if necessary.
But Vijesh Pillai told Manorama News that he is not absconding and will cooperate with the investigation. The phone is not switched off. Vijesh Pillai also stated that he has not received the notice from the Bengaluru police.
A case has been registered against Vijesh under section 506 of the Criminal Penal Code for the offense of intimidation.
