Karol G and Amaia Montero Ignite the Stage at Santiago Bernabéu in an Emotional Comeback Performance

Colombian singer Karol G is currently on her “Mañana Será Bonito” tour in Europe and this weekend she performed in Spain, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. But on the second date, she was joined by Spanish singer Amaia Montero, former lead vocalist of the renowned band La Oreja de Van Gogh.

“Today I have a special person who hasn’t been on stage for two years and is nervous, but they are going to give her one of the best nights of her life,” announced Karol G, while introducing Amaia, causing more than 60,000 spectators to applaud.

The singers performed together the successful and well-known song “Rosas,” after two years since Amaia Montero had been away from the stage. Additionally, the Spanish artist expressed her joy and feelings on social media for sharing the stage with the Colombian artist.

Amaia Montero is a well-known Spanish singer, former vocalist of the group “La Oreja de Van Gogh.” However, two years ago the artist withdrew from music and public life due to several health issues from which she is still recovering.

After Amaia Montero was the special guest at Karol G’s concert at the Santiago Bernabéu, she was interviewed by the program “TardeAR, who secured exclusive statements.

“It was a very emotional moment (…) I feel good, happy, I woke up feeling joyful and with a very nice feeling,” expressed Amaia.

She also responded to the question about her return to La Oreja de Van Gogh and supporting the tour. “No, I’m not going back”, she added. While assuring that she will return as a solo artist, “relatively soon. Right now I’m enjoying this moment.”
