Karol G gave his golden seagull to a “mini bichota” in Viña del Mar 2023

The urban exponent Carolina Giraldo Navarro, better known as Karol G, became last Sunday the first woman to lead the urban music of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, where he received the silver gull, first, and the gold one, later, for their participation, although one of them gave it away.

“The Bichota” surprised the thousands of fans who gathered at the Quinta Vergara to enjoy her presentation, being the first woman to lead urban music at the festival, by giving his silver seagull to a girl named Matilde that, previously, he had gone up to the stage to dance with her, as he told her through a text on a cardboard that said “this mini Bichota wants to dance with you.”

“Matilde won the seagull!” Karol yelled after the infanta did a split or opening her legs to the dembow rhythm, a rhythm that she herself requested, which provoked the ovation of the 15 thousand present.

“My queen, the golden seagull, I’m going to let her take it away,” Karol assured, before explaining that “later I’ll arrange for you to give me another one because she won it. I am not capable of taking it away from you, you owe it to me later”.

Finally, the presenter Martín Cárcamo affirmed that the girl would keep the award, while the reggaeton player would look for another equal one.

The artist staged her performance with various appeals to his future album, such as the exclusive singing of the song that gives its name to the album, “Mañana ser bonito”, or the song that he premiered four days ago, “X si volvemos”, demonstrating that the Viña del Mar Festival continues to be a global speaker of Latin American culture.

Karol G, who for many is the main current artist of world urban musicvindicated the Chilean artists of his musical genre, which have had an exponential rise in the last year, and offered an unprecedented collaboration with the Chilean Cris MJ and his hit “Una noche en Medellín”.
