New Delhi: The Congress has accused Karan Singh of supporting Union Minister Kiran Rijiju, who criticized former Prime Minister Nehru on the Kashmir issue, instead of condemning him. Union Minister Kiran Rijuju recently wrote an article titled ‘Nehru’s 5 Mistakes’ on Kashmir’s annexation to India. Congress is strongly opposing Rijuju who criticized Nehru. In this case, Karan Singh, the son of King Hari Singh of Jammu and Kashmir and one of the senior leaders of the Congress, has written an article about the annexation of Jammu and Kashmir in a famous English newspaper.
In this regard, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on Twitter, ‘Even VP Menon did not portray Hari Singh as a wrong person. To my surprise, Karan Singh has ignored Rijuju’s criticism of Nehru. Karan Singh could not have achieved much without Nehru’s support. Karan Singh said in his 2006 book that 216 letters were exchanged between the two between 1948-64. Karan Singh dedicated the book Aurobindo he wrote in 1962 to this same Nehru,’ he said.
