According to Kaspersky, they discovered a site containing information about the iPhone 16 presale.
A common thing that cyber fraudsters do is offer an early iPhone 16 with the lure of a 40 percent discount.
If people are tempted to click on the site, victims will be asked to provide billing and shipping information.
Victims will also be given the option to pay via PayPal.
The fraudster then issues a fake invoice after the victim clicks buy.
Free shipping offers are also a method used by these fraudsters.
“What’s more worrying is that fraudsters now have their personal information, which can be sold on the dark web,” Kaspersky security expert Olga Svistunova said in a statement on Wednesday.
