Scotland’s pacer Charlie Cassel has set a world record on ODI debut. He wrote his name in the best bowling record on ODI debut while playing in the Scotland jersey. Kassel achieved this feat by taking 7 wickets for 21 runs against Oman. He has topped South African pacer Kagiso Rabada.
Oman got off to a great start against Scotland in their World Cup League Two match. They lost only two wickets to score 49 runs. From there, Kassel’s speed storm began. He took 3 wickets in 4 balls in his first over, Cassel did not give any runs in return. Later he took four more wickets.
Oman lost 8 wickets after scoring only 42 runs off Kassel’s bowling. In the end, the Middle Eastern country was bowled out for 91 runs in 21.4 overs. In response, Scotland reached the port of victory after losing only 2 wickets in 17.2 overs. The win came by a huge margin of 8 wickets.
