Gotabaya’s visit to Sri Lanka
According to government sources, the security forces have informed the government that former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s visit to Sri Lanka is not appropriate given the current political situation in Sri Lanka.
In this regard, a leader of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has said that he has received such information from a Sinhala media.
Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who is currently in Singapore, has received a visa to stay in the country until the 11th, so when he was asked by the media whether he would come to Sri Lanka before then or on that day, he said that he could not give a definite answer.
Security problem in Singapore
However, the president of Peramuna said that he has received information that the Singapore government has informed him that his stay in Singapore beyond the stipulated visa period has raised a security issue in the country.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that President Ranil has told foreign media that Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s return to Sri Lanka is not good at this time.
