Princess of Wales Kate Middleton will make one of her rare public appearances in recent months, being in the Royal Box for the Wimbledon tennis final between Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic on Sunday.
Kensington Palace confirmed on Saturday that Kate, 42, who is the wife of Britain’s Crown Prince William, will watch the clash between reigning champion Alcaraz and seven-time London champion Djokovic live. However, she will not be in the stands for the women’s final between the Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova and Italy’s Jazmine Paolini, which is later today.
In March, Kate announced that she had retired from public life as she was battling cancer. Her last public appearance was in March when she was in the King Charles III birthday parade.
Kate Middleton has been a patron of the All England Club since 2016, and among its functions is to award the winners of Wimbledon for men and women.
