YouTuber Katharina Xenia Steps into the world of German Soap Opera “Everything That Counts”

A unique crossover event is set to unfold as digital creator Katharina Xenia takes on a guest role in the long-running German television series,”Everything That Counts” (Alles was zählt – AWZ).

Katharina Xenia, known for her popular “24 Hours as…” format on social media, will experiance life as a series star firsthand. The influencer documents her experiences as she attempts new challenges for a full day, and this time, the challenge involves immersing herself in the fast-paced world of television production.

Xenia will portray Tamara Voss, a sports manager arriving in Essen to scout kick-boxing talent Lennox, currently under the guidance of Dragan. According to reports, the role required Xenia to quickly adapt to the demands of a professional film set, including costume fittings, makeup, acting rehearsals, and extensive dialogue.

“I was directly involved in this very fast-paced, professional surroundings and noticed how much discipline and concentration it takes to slip into a role every day,” Xenia shared, reflecting on her experience.”At the same time, I was really impressed by how warmly the team welcomed me. I felt comfortable from the first minute.” She further emphasized the blend of speed, professionalism, and genuine warmth she encountered, noting the need for both immediate engagement and intense focus.

Did you know? – “Everything That Counts” premiered in 2006 and has aired over 4,800 episodes, becoming one of Germany’s most successful daytime dramas. It focuses on the lives of characters connected to a fitness studio and boxing gym.

The experience presented a significant shift from Xenia’s usual content creation process. While accustomed to being in front of a camera as 2021, she noted the difference between the spontaneity of her own shoots and the structured environment of a professional set. “In my own shoots, I can be more spontaneous and change things around,” she explained, “of course that’s not possible on the AWZ set.”

Perhaps the biggest hurdle for the YouTuber was the act of acting itself. “During filming, I realized that I absolutely can’t ‘lie’,'” Xenia confessed. “Normally I’m used to being myself and reacting spontaneously, but here I had to consciously slip into another character. I initially found it really strange to pretend to be someone else.”
