Baladanath Stupa
Boudhanath Stupa, 11 km from Kathmandu city, has a huge tower called Kora. Here Hindu spiritual devotees visit this tower. It is believed that this gopuram helps in warding off bad thoughts from human minds. Kathmandu tourists mostly visit this place. In 1979, Boudhanath Stupa was officially declared as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Pashupatinath Temple is a historically famous Shiva temple located on the banks of the Bagamati River. The 12 Jyotirlingams here are famous among Shiva devotees. Shiva devotees from many countries of the world come to visit it.
Thamel
Thamel Streets is a unique set of streets that attracts tourists. These streets are built in a unique and intriguing pattern. Everything from trekking clothes to traditional Nepalese food is available in the shops located here. Wi-Fi facility is provided here as it is always crowded.
Durbar Square
Durbar Square is the place where many Nepalese kings sat and ruled. The coronation ceremony is held here for the current and new kings. Even though Durbar Square was severely damaged in the 2015 earthquake, it is still considered as one of the ideal tourist spots.

Narayanhiti Palace Museum is located near Thamel Market. It is noteworthy that in this place, which was the palace of the Nepalese kings, the tables, chairs, rare treasures and jewels used by the kings are on display for the tourists.
