CM gave instructions for strict action
With this, the matter has become a big issue. CM Mohan Yadav has given instructions to take strict action regarding this. Mohan Yadav wrote on Twitter that an old video of assault by the officer/employees of Thana GRP Katni is going viral on social media. As soon as it came to my notice, I immediately instructed to send DIG Railway to the spot for investigation this morning. As per the preliminary investigation, I have ordered the immediate suspension of the then Thana In-charge GRP Katni, including one head constable and four constables. Along with this, senior police officers have been instructed to ensure that such misconduct is not repeated in future.
Six people were suspended
Railway SP Simla Prasad, who reached the GRP police station, said that a total of six people have been suspended in this case so far. These include woman police station in-charge Aruna Vahane, one head constable and four constables. The SP said that we have seen the original video in the police station.
