Katy Perry is now attracting all eyes. Covered only by a transparent disc, she is promoting her new music.
Four years after her last studio album “Smile”, Katy Perry has announced the release of her sixth album entitled “143” and also provided the sales date: September 20th. On the singer’s official Instagram profile, she asks her fans to pre-order via her homepage and shows a lot of skin in the process.
For the cover of her album, the singer stripped off her top and covered her bust only with a kind of Plexiglas sheath. This serves as a corset, but gives a clear view of her naked upper body. The musician’s lower body is covered in a transparent skirt, which she wears over silver panties. Judging by the quality of the image, AI could have been at work on the album cover.
Perry’s announcement has caused excitement among her fans: “She’s back” and “I’m so happy,” read the comments on her post. “Oh my God! That could mean there’s a new tour,” one user hopes for new concerts. But there is also criticism. “Put something on. What’s the point of being half naked?” one follower is furious about the 39-year-old’s appearance.
“143” is a code for “I love you” that was often used in messages sent via pager in the early 1990s. “I set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143, the numerical expression of love, as a consistent message,” the American announces. There are no further details yet.
The first single, “Woman’s World,” will be unveiled on July 11. The accompanying music video will be launched one day later, as Perry announced in an Instagram post on June 17.
After a four-year album break, the “I Kissed A Girl” chart-topper is back with new music. In recent years, the singer has concentrated on her Las Vegas show, her work as a judge on seven seasons of “American Idol” (the US version of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”) and her three-year-old daughter Daisy. Perry, whose real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, has been in a relationship with “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor Orlando Bloom since 2016.
