The first Mexican astronaut, Katya Echazarreta announced that he is in the sweet wait by one baby.
On July 26, Katya Echazarreta, the first Mexican astronaut to go to space, announced through her IG account that she is expecting her first daughter or son with her American husband, Nikolas.
The news came accompanied by a very emotional video with all the reactions of her family and friends to the news of her pregnancy.

Likewise, in response to congratulations from her loved ones, the 28-year-old electrical engineer from Guadalajara dedicated a few minutes of the clip to her future son:
‘Over these past few months I’ve gotten to know you. We’ve experienced nausea, events, cravings, meetings, and more. We have much, much more ahead of us. So we can’t wait to meet you. I love you in this and every galaxy. Welcome to the crew.’ The clip ends with the caption “November 2024,” the date the baby with astronaut blood is expected to be born.
However, the young woman, who left Earth to visit other planets in 2022 as part of NASA’s crew for the “New Shepard” mission, shared another image on August 3 where she is seen wearing a long, black dress, while posing behind the Eiffel Tower in Paris; one of her hands rests on her belly.

This image, which she would have shared from the city of love, in her sweet wait, showed that it means a lot, since she indicated that when she was in high school she had been President of the French Club, and organized a trip to that country; however, in the end her family could not afford the trip, which hurt her a lot, but after 10 years she saw that dream come true, thanks to Omega, a watch brand, who invited her to talk about the work she is doing to advance space exploration in Mexico and LATAM.
