Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz met with his new Dutch counterpart Caspar Veldkamp on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington.
According to him, during the discussion, the issues of the war in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages held by Hamas terrorists were raised.
“I am pleased to meet the new Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp. We discussed various issues, including Israel’s just war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza, the importance of the principle of a ceasefire only with the release of hostages, and the need to advance tough sanctions against Iran,” Katz emphasized.
Katz also added that during talks with Veldkamp, the Dutch Foreign Minister, it was announced that the Netherlands would join the initiative to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization. He also said that the two countries would continue to join forces to combat terrorism.
