Ashok Vishwakarma, Kaushambi: A female patient died during treatment on Monday evening at a hospital located in Charwa of Chayal tehsil area of ​​Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh. The angry family members created a ruckus. On receiving the information, the medical officer of Chayal and the police administration reached the spot and the doctors and other staff ran away from the spot. After investigation, it was found that the hospital was running without registration. It was sealed and a female patient admitted in the hospital was shifted to CHC Chayal. Meanwhile, the police took the body of the deceased patient into their custody and sent it for postmortem.

The hospital was running without registration

Chanda Devi (35) wife of Ganesh Pasi, a resident of Charwa Uttar Thok, died during treatment on Monday late evening at around 7 pm at Mahadev Hospital, which had been running in Charwa for months without registration. She had undergone a uterus operation two days back. The family members were enraged with the woman’s death and created a ruckus. On seeing Medical Officer Chayal Lalit Singh and Police Station Head Charwa Jagdish Kumar who had come after being informed about the incident by the family members, the hospital doctors and other staff also ran away. During this, the family members alleged that despite paying Rs. 50,000 for the treatment, their patient died due to careless treatment.

During the inquiry by the medical officer, it was found that the hospital was being run illegally. It was not even registered. Taking action on this, it was sealed with immediate effect. Another patient Manisha Tiwari, wife of Indrabhan Geriya Pipri, was shifted to the Community Health Center Chail. Meanwhile, the police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for postmortem.

Police filed a case

Medical Officer Chail Lalit Singh says that the hospital was found to be operating without registration, so it has been sealed. Meanwhile, SHO Charwa Jagdish Kumar said that on the complaint of the deceased’s family, a case has been registered against the accused doctors and investigation is being done.
