The first time that this electric motorcycle could be seen in motion was at the eight hours of Suzuka, where the Director General of Kawasaki Motors Europe, Mr. Masaya Tsuruno, unveiled this first commitment by the Japanese firm to electrification.

He also confirmed Kawasaki’s commitment to internal combustion engines, Mr Tsuruno adding that both e-fuel and bio-fuel were among the options being considered, in addition to the much talked about research into hydrogen as a possible carbon-neutral option.

With undeniable in-house resources and experience, Kawasaki is well placed to play a major role in the evolution of transportation through new technologies, along with a long history of innovation in internal combustion engines.

And, as Mr. Tsuruno explained, the company is actively involved in partnerships that are not limited to the world of two wheels, but encompass both automotive and other future-oriented technologies, commenting that “we are highly motivated and strongly connected and will continue to our research and development.

Tsuruno confirmed the commitment of the company president Mr. Hiroshi Ito which undertook to present three electric models throughout this annuity. This unveiled prototype will form the basis for future series production.

In closing, Mr. Tsuruno revealed that the company is committed to further strengthening the Kawasaki brand, offering products and services that meet customer needs, further research on carbon neutrality and explore all opportunities.
