Ten-Year-Old Magician Kay La Ferrera Wins Italy’s “Tu Sì que vales”
A young magician from Rome has captivated Italy, winning the twelfth edition of the popular talent show “Tu Sì que vales” and a prize of 100,000 euros. Kay La Ferrera, just ten years old, secured victory with a series of impressive magic acts that resonated with both the show’s jury and the home audience.
The final proclamation came late on December 7, 2025, after 1:00 AM, prompting the young magician’s mother to accept the award on his behalf due to his age. Despite not being present for the official announcement, La Ferrera’s performance had already made a significant impact.
The judging panel – comprised of Maria De Filippi, Paolo Bonolis, Rudy Zerbi, and Luciana Littizzetto – were thoroughly impressed by La Ferrera’s skill. Furthermore, the home audience, represented by Sabrina Ferilli, overwhelmingly supported the young performer, awarding him 38.68% of the votes. This decisive margin secured his win against fifteen other finalists.
“When I grow up I want to be a magician,” La Ferrera shared during the broadcast, explaining that his passion was sparked by witnessing magic performed by his uncle at a cousin’s birthday party. He expressed a desire to use the substantial prize money “to repay my family for all the sacrifices they have made for me,” demonstrating a maturity beyond his years.
La Ferrera’s victory underscores the growing popularity of magic as a performance art and highlights the potential of young talent in Italy. His story is a testament to the power of passion and the support of family, offering a heartwarming conclusion to this season of “Tu Sì que vales.”
