Rapper Kayawoto officially introduced his new album “Maouland II” on the Burkinabe record market on May 27, 2023 at the National Center for Performing and Audiovisual Arts (CENASA).
Kayawoto or “The Maouland Naaba” is back in the bacs, with his 17-track album titled “Maouland II”. The playlist of this work includes titles, including Viima, Yaaba youré, Soukiri, Wend the Naaba, Salt Salt, Jamaica, Tenant, Monra biiga, Liguid soob paaga, Doossa, Kamba, Poured, Tik Tok, Pougdougba, Millions, Guifo, Poutogo.
Note that Kayawoto worked on this project in collaboration with artists such as Alif Naaba “the barefoot prince”; the Malian Iba One “the Gladia”, and the Ivorian Jojo le Barbu “the child of barbarita”.
Through this second album, the artist intends to raise awareness among young people.
“The message that I convey in this album, I give the courage to every human being to be very strong because the world we currently live in, no matter what you are going to do, positive or negative, there will be people who will always shoot you. It’s up to you to be strong and contribute to the development of the country.”I explained Kayawoto.
Towards his fans and music lovers, the musician artist is calling for this new album to be appropriated.
“Frankly what I expect from my Maoulandais is to share and listen to this new album, because we took a long time to make this album and I trust them, they will make this album travel”Kayawoto added.
For San Rémy Traoré, Director at Propulsion Prod and producer of the artist, the time has already come to promote this new album.
“We are going to deploy the strategy on digital platforms to continue the conquest, but we are also counting on the media to accompany and support us and I think that it is Burkina who will come out on top”he expressed himself.
Given the immensity of the project, about 04 expert arrangers worked for its success. These include Mr Wens, Jaaraf did it, Pissy, Theles and Elizier Oubda.
