Doctors from Kazakhstan will hold a consultation with colleagues from Azerbaijan on the issue of evacuation of two patients injured in a plane crash in Aktau.

As Day.Az reports, this is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan.

“Today, 6 patients remain under treatment at the Mangistau Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital, four of them are in the intensive care unit, two are in the traumatology department. There is no worsening of the condition, one patient has been taken off vasopressors and one victim has had the dose of tonics reduced from 3 to 1.

The health authorities of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan are working on issues regarding the transportation of 3 victims, 2 of them transportable, 1 in serious condition, on a ventilator.

On the issue of evacuating two patients to Azerbaijan, it is planned to hold a consultation with doctors and assess their readiness for transportation,” the Ministry of Health reported.

Let us recall that on December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to AZAL, flying along the Baku-Grozny route, crashed 3 kilometers from Aktau airport.

There were 67 people on board the plane (62 passengers and 5 crew members).

After the crash of a passenger plane, 27 people were admitted to the hospital. Of these, 15 people are citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, 8 – of the Russian Federation, 3 – of the Kyrgyz Republic. The identity of one person has not yet been established.

Both crew pilots and a flight attendant were killed; two crew members survived.

On December 26, 14 victims and the bodies of four dead were delivered to Azerbaijan.
