Increasing ties between Kazakhstan and the West helps the country defend its independence in a region of historical dominance of Russia and China. In his opinion, recognition of the importance of Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries by the European Union (EU), the United States and other Western countries and “much stronger building of relations” with them helps to strengthen the role of the Central Asian republics “in relations with all other partners in the world.” .
At the same time, the Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Kazakhstan will continue to develop relations with neighboring Russia and China, being an independent country.
