Amid reports that Studio Green Gnanavelraja has been accused of not repaying Rs 26.34 crore with interest on a loan of Rs 10.35 crore from Arjunlal Sundardas, Studio Green’s lawyer Vijayan Subramanian said in a statement published by Advocate:-
I am the legal advisor to Mr.Kenjanavel Raja, who is a partner at Studio Green. I am, on his instructions, issuing this public statement.
1. KEjnavel Raja is my partisan. A well-known/reputed filmmaker in the film industry and my client owns a production company called “STUDIO GREEN”, a renowned film production and distribution company in Chennai.
2. According to my client, it has come to light that Studio Green has taken loan and an application has been filed by the nominee of Madras High Court seeking recovery of money from that company and this application has been allowed by the Hon’ble Court. My client has appealed to the Hon’ble Supreme Court against this judgment.
3. Meanwhile, shockingly, various social media, including various groups on Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp, against my partyman KE Gnjanavel Raja, “Gnjanavel Raja should be declared bankrupt.” I saw a message that a case has been registered.
4. It is hereby brought to the notice of the public that no bankruptcy petition has been filed or pending against my client KE. This false news has caused great pain to my party member Gnanavel Raja and his family.
5. My client receives many phone calls from various film producers, film celebrities, relatives and friends inquiring about false news. In all the film industry WhatsApp groups, wrong messages are being sent to the public again and again. The false news being spread to tarnish the reputation of my party is defamatory and baseless.

Under these circumstances, this public notice is issued on behalf of my client to confirm that my client is pursuing civil and criminal proceedings against those who are sending and spreading the above false news articles.
