Social activist living in Agdash district Nusrat HasratliIt is reported that he was detained on May 12 and his Facebook posts were deleted.
N. Hasratli himself informed about this.
According to N. Hasratli, they detained him in the market and took him to the police department: “They told me there not to write on Facebook. And I said that I will write. I was detained for criticizing Heydar Aliyev (father of President Ilham Aliyev, former president). They took my phone from me in the department, deleted all my writings, and insulted me.”
He says he was released a few hours after being detained.
The Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told “Turan” that Agdash district resident N. Hasratli was invited to the police department based on a received request and a preventive conversation was held with him. According to the ministry, there is “no political motive” in this matter.
