Keffals, the trans streamer determined to inform young LGBT people

In front of a shelf full of stuffed animals, Clara Sorrenti films herself playing video games or simply answering questions from the audience. She “often swear, sighs regularly, but rarely raises her voice when reading tweets and articles posted online, relate le Washington Post. The 28-year-old Canadian, based in the province of Ontario, goes through the live streaming platform Twitch, on which, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, video games have become a backdrop rather than the main content, leaving room for discussions, debates and information.

Under the nickname of Keffals, the streamer first launched on the platform to offer classic commented gaming sessions. But noting the recent wave, since the beginning of 2021, of anti-trans laws passed in many states of the American neighbor, Sorrenti wanted to speak. “I felt I had to cover this news.”
