Keisha Nash Whitaker, Ex-Wife of Forest Whitaker, Dies at 51 from Alcohol-Related Liver Disease
Actor-producer Keisha Nash Whitaker, the former wife of actor Forest Whitaker, has passed away at the age of 51 from alcohol-related liver disease, according to her death certificate obtained by TMZ. The certificate also revealed that Nash Whitaker suffered from acute renal failure, a symptom of anorexia, which was a significant contributing factor to her death.
Nash Whitaker, who died on December 7th, was mourned by her daughter, True Whitaker, who shared the news on Instagram, calling her mother “the most beautiful woman in the world” and expressing her love and gratitude.
Nash Whitaker was a former model and had credits in the 2004 film “Proud” as well as hosting the reality competition show “Who Are You Wearing?” on TLC.
Forest Whitaker filed for divorce from Keisha in 2018 after 22 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple had two children together, True and Sonnet Whitaker, and Nash Whitaker also had another child, Autumn, from a previous relationship.
