Kala Academy under Keli Kudumbavedi kicks off in Riyadh

The Kala Academy, operating under the auspices of Keli Kudumbavedi, has officially begun its work in Riyadh. The academy aims to promote the artistic talents of non-resident children and provide free training in various art forms. The first stage of training will focus on painting and dancing, with a total of 55 children currently registered in these categories.

Al Yasmin International School teacher Vijila Biju will be leading the screenwriting training, while Neha Pushpaparaj and Indu Mohan will be teaching dance to the students.

The inaugural program was presided over by Kudumba Vedi President Priya Vinod, with Secretary Seeba delivering the welcome address. Keli Patron Acting Secretary Geevarghese Idichidi officially inaugurated the program by releasing the academy’s logo. TR Subramanian, a member of Keli Rakshtadhikari Samiti, along with Keli President Sebin Iqbal and Kudumbavedi Treasurer Sreesha Sukesh, also addressed the audience during the event.

Additionally, the Sugatanjali Poetry Competition organized by the Malayalam Vision Saudi Chapter saw participation from Keli Maduram Malayalam Learning Center and WMF Alkharj Learning Center. Neha Pushparaj secured the second place, while Alna Elizabeth Joshi clinched the third place in the competition. Keli Patronage Committee members TR Subramanian and Prabhakaran Kandonthar distributed certificates to the winners, and Kudumbavedi Vice President Sajeena VS expressed gratitude for the success of the event.
