The rapper from Compton, Kendrick Lamar will be in charge of the halftime show Super Bowl 59 which will be held in New Orleans the next February 9th.

Lamar will return to the halftime stage after being in the company of Dr. Dre, Snoop DoggMary J. Blige y Eminem.
According to Kendrick, “Rap is still the most influential genre. I will be there to remind the world why. They picked the right artist,” he said in a press release.
Additionally, Jay-Zowner of Roc Nation (who has been involved in the shows since 2020) mentioned.
“Kendrick Lamar is truly a one-of-a-kind artist and performer… His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music and his impact will be felt for years to come.”
The show is now sponsored by Apple Music and will join other shows like the one Rihanna, Shakira y JLo, The Weeknd, Usheramong others who have been the protagonists of the Halftime Show.
