Kenya e Pakistan began to implement educational reforms inspired by Sobral, Ceará city considered as a model in Brazil. While the first already promotes innovations in the province of Kirinyaga, in the Asian country, five communities from four different provinces will benefit.

INSPIRATION

A delegation made up of around 30 leaders from both countries visited the Brazilian municipality last year. The trip was part of a program carried out in partnership with the UK government and promoted by Lemann Foundation and the Lemann Leadership Center for Equity in Education.

INSPIRATION 2

“The leaders of these countries arrive in Brazil and say that getting to know Sobral’s experience is more effective than going to Finland, since in the Brazilian city they start from the same type of reality”, says the executive director of the Lemann Center, Anna Penido, who was in Pakistan recently to assess the progress of the project.

INSPIRATION 3

“Our goal is to bring references of paths and inspiration that it is possible”, he says. The Lemann Center program does not carry out direct actions in the countries, but supports local leaders to assume responsibility for transforming education in their territories.

SCREEN

the actresses Paola Oliveira e Nanda Costa record, in Brasilia, the Globoplay series “Justiça 2”. They are two of the eight protagonists of the production, which follows the same format as the first season, but now with a new plot: characters who get out of jail and need to resume their lives. The author Manuela Dias is the creator of the series, which in this new batch of episodes has artistic direction by Gustavo Fernandez.
