The All India Football Federation imposed a fine of Rs 4 crore on Kerala Blasters FC for abandoning their play-off eliminator against Bengaluru FC, a 10-match ban and a fine of Rs 5 lakh on head coach Ivan Vukomanovic. The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has also suggested a public apology.
Kerala Blasters FC’s fine will be increased to Rs 6 crore and Ivan Vukomanovic’s fine will be increased to Rs 10 lakh if they do not tender an apology. The AIFF has imposed the highest fine on Bengaluru FC in the history of Indian club football. Kerala Blasters FC will be next in the Indian Super Cup football.
Kerala Blasters FC’s first match in Super Cup Group A is against Round Glass Punjab FC on April 8. Bengaluru FC is also in Group A along with Kerala Blasters FC.
