Rahul was injured in the first half of the match against Mohan Bagan. Rahul, who left the field in the 32nd minute, was replaced by another Malayalee player Prashant. He was the standout performer for the Blasters before suffering an injury in the match. Rahul scored the Blasters’ first goal of the match. Sahal scored from Rahul’s cross. But Rahul had to withdraw due to injury after paving the way for the goal.

The Blasters said Rahul should be released from injury as soon as possible. The Blasters, who lost 4–2 to Mohun Bagan in the first leg, will face North East United next. The match will be played on November 25 at 7.30 pm.
