Kerala Blasters to compete with Al-Nasr Club in Dubai

Kochi: Kerala Blasters are all set to make the upcoming ISL season spectacular. Some who were part of the team last season have left, but players like Victor Mongil from Spain are being strengthened. Now the Blasters are ready for the preseason. Blasters are preparing for a friendly match with Al-Nasr SC, a football club in the UAE. The match is on August 20.

Al-Nasr SC is the strongest team in the UAE Pro League. It is also one of the oldest clubs in the UAE. Meanwhile, Spanish defender Victor Mongil was brought to the Kerala Blasters team for one year. Victor Mongel is the second foreign player the Blasters have acquired in the summer after striker Apostolos Giannu was brought in last week.

Mongil will bolster the Blasters defense as he joins Marko Leskovic, who has extended his contract with the club for a further two years. Speaking about the Blasters’ second foreign signing, Sporting Director Karolis Skinkis said Victor is an experienced player who can play in different positions. The Blasters also acquired Greek-Australian forward Apostles Giannu. Alvaro Vasquez and Argentine striker Jorge Pereira Diaz left Blasters.
