Currently Gokulam Kerala FC, a major club in Kerala, has a women’s team. It was earlier stated that Blasters will introduce the women’s team.
As part of this, Gokulam Kerala First Team manager Raja Risuan was appointed as the director of the new women’s academy team.
Meanwhile, Spanish defender Victor Mongil Hero will play for the Kerala Blasters men’s team in the Indian Super League’s 2022-23 season. The club management has announced the signing of the star, who has proved his versatility in various positions. The player who joins Kerala Blasters FC from Hero ISL side Odisha FC will remain with the club till 2023.
The 29-year-old started his youth career with Spanish club Valladolid. He also played for their B team before representing the senior team in the 2011–12 season. He also played for various clubs in Spain, including the Atletico Madrid B team. Then in 2019, he joined Georgian professional club FC Dynamo Tbilisi. Victor helped Dynamo Tbilisi win the title in Georgia and also represented the club in the Europa League.
