Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan suddenly took to the road and joined the protest which has created a stir in the state. Following this, the central government has increased his security.
The conflict between Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and the state government continues. The state government has filed a case against the governor in the Supreme Court.
In this case, Arif Mohammad Khan went to Swami Satananda Ashram at Kottarakkara next to Kollam. At that time, the SFI student union protested against the Governor in Nilamel area near Kollam by displaying black flag. At one point, when they tried to approach the governor’s vehicle, the police stopped them.
Arif Mohammed Khan suddenly got down from the car and went towards the protestors and started an argument with them. Later, the governor joined the protest by sitting on a chair in front of the tea shop there.
He left there only after a case was filed against the protestors.
Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who met the media before departure, said, “The thugs came near my car in the name of student organization and tried to attack me. But the Kerala Police is trying to save the protesters by acting in support of them. If the police who are supposed to uphold the law do not do it, who will uphold the law? If this had happened to the Chief, how would the police have acted?
These protests are taking place in the name of student organization with the support of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The entire police force listens to the Chief Minister and supports him. I will send a report to the central government about this,” he said.
A few hours after the Governor’s departure, the Central Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered the Z Plus security of the Central Reserve Force to the Governor of Kerala.
