There they were looking at spare parts that had been transported in a heavy vehicle to the Space Research Center. Ranjita and her fellow policemen from the state government’s Ping Police Division were on security duty there. Then, the female police officer Ranjita’s cell phone went missing.

As a result, female police officer Ranjita alleged that both Jayachandran and his 8-year-old daughter, who were standing in the police vehicle, had stolen her cellphone. Following this, the female police also questioned the father Jayachandran and the daughter 8-year-old girl.

Jayachandran said they did not pick up the cell phone. The 8-year-old girl said her father did not steal, but female police officer Ranjita continued, “You stole.”

Ranjita, who was outraged that he continued to say he did not steal, along with fellow policemen harassed Jayachandran and his daughter.

One of the members of the public got his phone number from the female police officer Ranjita and called that number. At the time, Ranjita’s cell phone was still in the police vehicle.

Jayachandran and his 8-year-old daughter, who were standing on the road, mistakenly thought that Ranjita had kept her cell phone in the police vehicle and harassed them both.

When it was revealed that the cell phone was in the vehicle, the female police officer Ranjita immediately left with her fellow policemen. He did not apologize to Jayachandran or his daughter.

People in the area took a video of the incident and posted it on a social networking site. That video is viral. Following this, departmental action has been taken against female police officer Ranjita.

Meanwhile, Jayachandran’s 8-year-old daughter has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking an order from the state government to take appropriate action against Ranjita, the woman police officer who falsely accused her and her father of theft and assaulted her. The petition was being investigated.

In this context, the Kerala High Court today heard a petition filed by Jayachandran’s 8-year-old daughter and ordered the state government to pay Rs 1.5 lakh as compensation to the victim. The female police officer acted in a way that violated the fundamental rights of the girl.

The woman ordered the state government to take appropriate action against the police for the act.

The judge also ordered the state government to pay Rs 1.5 lakh in damages to the girl and Rs 25,000 for the cost of the case.
