Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid has confirmed 4280 cases in the state today. During the last 24 hours, 48,916 samples were tested. The weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 46 wards in 39 Local Government Areas above 10. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 1,80,316 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,75,361 are under home / institutional quarantine and 4,955 are in hospitals. A total of 305 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Of the current 51,302 Kovid cases, only 7.3 per cent are hospitalized / field hospitals.

Today it was confirmed that 35 deaths in the last few days were due to Kovid. In addition, 273 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 38,353. Today, 27 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 3956 people were infected through contact.

Contact source for 274 is not clear. 23 health workers were affected by the disease. 5379 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. With this, 51,302 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. So far 50,23,658 people have been released from Kovid.
