The Kerala squad for the under-19 domestic tournament Vinu Mangad Trophy for the season 2022-23 has been announced. The Kerala Cricket Association has announced a 16-member team under the captaincy of Thiruvananthapuram native Abhishek J Nair. Abhishek J Nair also played in the last Vinu Mangad Trophy. The vice-captain is the pacer Aden Apple Tom, who performed brilliantly in the last Ranji Trophy. Former Kerala player Sonny Cheruvathur is the team coach.
Kerala’s first match is against Manipur on the 7th of this month. Kerala’s matches are against Chandigarh on 8th, Uttar Pradesh on 10th, Jammu and Kashmir on 12th and Bengal on 14th. List A matches of 50 overs will be played in the Vinu Mangad Trophy. Haryana U19 are the defending champions.
