The Ministry of Economy informs:

“On November 20, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan received Finland’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Kirsti Narinen and Finland’s Honorary Consul Timothy Straight.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister briefly presented the current state of Armenia’s economy and noted that the country’s GDP grew by 9.2 percent in the 9 months of 2023.

Then, reference was made to the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government, as well as to the implementation of programs related to the integration of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.

In his speech, Vahan Kerobyan noted that the goal of the RA government is the diversification of the economy in all areas, including mining, energy and telecommunications.

During the meeting, the minister also presented to the guests the construction project of a “dry port” in Armenia.

The possibility of establishing business ties with North Baltic businessmen was also discussed.”
