While filming in Ireland, actor Kevin Bacon took to Instagram to appeal for public assistance in locating a missing parcel of vintage clothing. The box, shipped from upstate New York on September 26, traveled through Memphis, France, Germany, and Israel before arriving in Ireland where it awaited delivery.
Actor Kevin Bacon found himself separated from his wardrobe by far more than six degrees of separation while working on a horror movie called The Summoner in Ireland. Rather than hauling multiple suitcases from the United States, the 68-year-old actor decided to travel light and shipped a box of his favorite vintage garments from upstate New York.
Global Detours and Missing Vintage Gear
The shipment started with a straightforward plan on September 26 when the package left New York and headed straight to Memphis. From there, it flew to France and arrived in Germany by September 28. Instead of crossing into Ireland, the courier service redirected the box straight to Israel.
What followed was an international transit loop. The package returned briefly to France on October 3 before heading back to Israel the next day, moving to Germany on October 5, and returning to Israel yet again on October 6. On October 10, the box made its way back to France and finally landed in England on October 11.
On October 11th, [the package] left the UK and came straight to Ireland, where it has been sitting for five days and they say they’re unable to deliver it.

Sentimental Value and Public Appeals
While friends and followers suggested simply purchasing a new wardrobe, Bacon explained that the lost package held deep personal significance. The box contained items he has owned since the 1990s, including old boots, old jeans, and old hats.

I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes,
Bacon told his followers on Instagram, noting that the vintage collection carried a certain sentimental value dating back decades. Fellow actor Justin Long joined the comment section with lighthearted humor, teasing that Bacon should have just had the box sent to Israel to achieve full nineties grunge style.
Corporate Response and Delivery Status
Bacon noted that it was starting to get cold at his filming location and expressed frustration that he could not reach a human customer service representative over the phone. He referred to the courier service in his video as a company that rhymes with Bread Ex.

The company acknowledged that the delivery outcome should have happened sooner and confirmed they were actively reviewing internal operations to understand what went wrong with the global routing.
