Keven Federline Considering Going to Court for Increase in Child Support from Britney Spears

November 9, 2023

Kevin Federline, former husband of pop star Britney Spears, is reportedly contemplating taking legal action to request an increase in child support. Sources with knowledge of the situation told TMZ that Federline never anticipated having full-time custody of their children, which he claims was not part of the original agreement for child support.

Currently, Federline receives $40,000 per month for the care of their two children, Jayden James and Sean Preston. However, this amount was based on a 50/50 custody arrangement, even though Spears has had zero custody of the children for several years.

Sean Preston will turn 18 in a few weeks, and child support for him will end. However, Jayden’s support will continue until around June 2025, when he graduates high school. Realistically, $20,000 would be the relevant amount if Federline were to ask for an increase. However, this figure could rise if he can demonstrate the need for additional financial support to cover 100% of Jayden’s expenses.

Last month, Kevin Federline, his children, and his wife Victoria made the decision to move to Hawaii. This move was not opposed by Britney Spears in court. Although Federline encouraged his sons to maintain a relationship with their mother, he did not force them to do so, and they have not seen her for nearly two years.

TMZ reached out to Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, for comment, but no response has been received at this time.
