Actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault between 2005 and 2013.
The 62-year-old Hollywood star is on trial for sexually assaulting three men in the cities of London and Gloucester. He is also accused of “causing a man to take sexual action without consent”.
As you may recall, the actor, who is known for his many roles in Hollywood movies and in the “House of Cards” series, was among the many stars who testified about him during the Mei Tu revolution.
In October 2017 actor Anthony Rap accused Spacey of trying to seduce him in 1986 when he was a 14-year-old minor. In his response, Spacey claimed he did not remember the incident but apologized for the incident.
A few days later, more men in the American entertainment industry were added to the allegations of harassment by Spacey. In response to things Spacey announced he was taking a time-out from a game to undergo treatment.
Following the escalation of the wave of accusations against the actor, Netflix has announced that it is ending its engagement with him and is stopping the production of the sixth season of the TV series “House of Cards” in which he starred in the lead role. A documentary that was in the post-production stages was also shelved. The producers of the film “All the Money in the World,” directed by Ridley Scott, also announced about a month before its release that all the scenes featuring Spacey would be re-filmed with Christopher Plummer in his place.
On January 7, 2019, an indictment was filed against Spacey for sexually assaulting Anthony Rap. In July 2019, the case was closed after the complainant refused to testify.
