Hamas Leader Reveals Plans for Surprise Attack on Israel

In a recent interview with “La Figaro” newspaper, Khaled Meshaal, the leader of the political wing of Hamas, hinted at the organization’s preparation for a surprise attack on Israel. The interview, which took place in Doha, Beirut, and Jordan, also touched on Hamas’s position on finding a solution with Israel and its relations with other organizations in the region.

Meshaal stated that despite three months of bombardments, Hamas’s rockets are still reaching Tel Aviv. He emphasized that Israel’s goal of destroying Hamas and freeing hostages is not a realistic one, and Hamas will not be destroyed. He also mentioned that Hamas is ready to negotiate on all matters indirectly with Israel, through mediators, including the possibility of recognizing Israel in the future.

Regarding the rejection of the Egyptian ceasefire proposal, Meshaal explained that Hamas refuses to accept a ceasefire until their conditions are met, which include a lasting cessation of aggression to allow for the mutual release of hostages and prisoners, as well as negotiations on essential issues. He also warned other Palestinian factions against excluding Hamas from the political scene, stating that it would be a move destined for failure.

When asked about Hamas’s strategy towards Israel, Meshaal clarified that their goal is to end the war, after which Israel would withdraw and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. He also claimed that Hamas does not intentionally target civilians and promised that they would never attack outside of Israel.

Despite Meshaal’s strong statements, there were indications that Hamas may be gearing up for an attack on Israel, as revealed through interviews with sources close to the organization. These sources mentioned details about Hamas’s preparations for an invasion, as well as tensions in their relations with other organizations such as Hezbollah and Iran.

The revelations from the interview with Khaled Meshaal and other sources provide a rare insight into Hamas’s intentions and strategies, raising concerns about the potential escalation of conflict in the region.
